Dr. Romeo’s Scientific Contribution to Full-Arch Implant Treatments
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Romeo has been deeply involved in the scientific study of advanced solutions for patients with missing or severely compromised teeth — particularly treatments involving the All-on-4® technique and full-arch implant rehabilitation.
Together with his mentor, Professor Enrico Agliardi, Dr. Romeo co-authored a textbook that has been translated into five languages and is now used by dentists and dental students around the world. This book reflects over 20 years of collaboration in patient care, surgical innovation, and clinical research.
The book was created to share the scientific principles and practical protocols behind treatments using tilted implants, zygomatic implants, and other techniques for restoring full arches — often in cases where traditional dentures or implants are not ideal.
The first part of the book focuses on the clinical research and evidence behind these treatment approaches. From there, it guides readers through diagnostics, patient evaluation, and treatment planning, followed by step-by-step explanations of surgical and restorative procedures for both the maxilla and the mandible.
To make the information practical and relatable, the book includes many real clinical cases, showing a wide range of starting points and how different patients were helped with personalized care.
